First Methodist Church Gatesville offers two traditional Methodist worship services each Sunday morning in Gatesville, Texas. We follow a consistent order of worship each week, including hymns, congregational prayer, the recitation of creeds, and Biblically based preaching and teaching. The focus of our worship is to honor and glorify God each time we gather together.

Those visiting First Methodist Church Gatesville will find a warm and welcoming congregation ready to greet you. You may also be contacted by a member of our Outreach Team and receive a phone call from our pastor. Our registration page provides opportunities to connect with the pastor and church staff and learn more about becoming part of our church family.

HOW TO JOIN FIRST METHODIST CHURCH GATESVILLE

Joining a church is an important step in making a deeper commitment to living as a follower of Jesus Christ. All baptized believers who profess Jesus Christ as their Savior are invited to become Professing Members of our congregation.

If you are interested in becoming a member of First Methodist Church Gatesville, you may meet the pastor at the altar during the final hymn of a worship service or schedule an appointment with him. He will be happy to discuss church membership and answer any questions you may have.

The only prerequisite for membership is that you have been baptized. We accept baptisms from all Christian denominations.

If you are new to the Christian faith, you may join by Profession of Faith and Baptism.

Others may join by transferring their membership from another Methodist congregation or from another Christian denomination.

Temporary residents of our community may also join through Affiliate Membership if they are members of another Global Methodist Church, or through Associate Membership if they belong to another denomination.

Children under the age of 13 join as "Constituent Members" until they complete our Confirmation classes.

However you choose to join, we would love to welcome you and your family into the life and ministry of First Methodist Church Gatesville.
